Armando Falcon is a trusted advisor to CEOs and other senior managers of the firm’s clients, providing them with strategic advice on market opportunities, business transformation, regulatory risk management and problem solving. He has a unique perspective on the intersection of capital markets and government policy, having run a federal financial regulatory agency, served as a senior counsel to a Congressional committee, and now running a business advisory firm serving commercial and government clients.

From 1999 to 2005, Falcon was the Director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO), where he served as the chief regulator for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and played a key role in overseeing the U.S. secondary mortgage market and the stability of the U.S. housing finance system. While at OFHEO, he transformed the struggling agency into an effective and respected regulator and was eventually credited with raising early warnings about the latent dangers in the U.S housing market. Falcon has also served as the General Counsel for the Committee on Banking and Financial Services of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was responsible for advising the Committee on financial regulatory issues and played a key role in drafting major financial services legislation. Falcon currently serves on several corporate and government boards. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas.

Brien Hampton has over 27 years of financial markets experience and has expertise in capital markets and transaction analysis. He is an invaluable asset to the firm’s clients given his extensive experience leading market assessment, business plan analysis and price analysis projects. His trading expertise includes a robust understanding of credit quality, deal structure, prepayment and duration on different classes of securities.

Prior to joining Falcon Capital Advisors, Hampton was the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets for The Winter Group, a New York-based firm which served as a platform for fully integrated capital markets, residential mortgage financing, sourcing, securitization, trading and distribution. In this position, Hampton was responsible for engineering financial solutions for originators, conduits and investors in the areas of origination, systems development, credit, servicing and warehouse lending. Before joining The Winter Group, Hampton had a 17-year career at Freddie Mac, where he was Director of Sales & Strategy for Alternative Markets in Freddie Mac's Single Family division. Due to his strong background in credit and deal structuring, he is credited with implementing key alternative credit structures using pool insurance, subordinate debt, recourse, captive, and credit default swaps. Hampton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Dayton.

Ken Yoo has over 20 years of experience in risk management and regulatory compliance leadership. He heads the Risk and Compliance Advisory Group at Falcon Capital Advisors. Yoo’s prior industry experience includes banking, housing finance, consulting and regulatory oversight.

Prior to joining Falcon Capital Advisors, he held various executive level roles, including the chief risk officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, where he was instrumental in establishing the bank’s enterprise risk management program, risk policies, risk appetite framework, risk assessment process, stress testing methodology and risk analytical tools and models. Yoo also held senior risk management roles at Capital One, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (now the Federal Housing Finance Agency) and BearingPoint. He has served as a board member of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) and as a member of the Risk Management Association’s ERM Council. Yoo holds a master’s degree from George Washington University in international affairs (Finance), a bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Tech and has completed University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business’ Advanced Risk Management certificate program.

Jim Voth has over 20 years of experience leading strategic initiatives within the financial services and technology sectors. He serves as a Managing Director at Falcon Capital Advisors driving client delivery for engagements with their housing finance customers.

Jim has held various senior level roles at consulting firms serving the GSEs, the SEC, and various banking clients with a primary focus on digital transformation and strategy, including the modernization of clients’ internal systems and processes. He also spearheaded various initiatives at the GSEs to enhance securities operations governance and oversight. Prior to serving in these roles, Voth served as a Director of New Business Initiatives at Freddie Mac where he launched and led some of the initial efforts by the GSEs and FinTechs to create a fully electronic mortgage and drove the go-to-market strategy for Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector tools.

Voth holds an MBA from The College of William and Mary, a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Rochester and maintains a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Robert Gaither has over 40 years of mortgage banking experience. In his role with Falcon Capital Advisors, he advises clients in strategic planning, secondary marketing, hedging, trading, relationship management, product development, MSR acquisitions, as well as retail and correspondent lending.

Prior to joining Falcon Capital Advisors, he served as the investor and counterparty relations executive at PNC Mortgage. Gaither has also held numerous senior-level positions at Bank of America, United Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company and First Union/Wachovia Mortgage. He is a former member of the MBA Board of Directors and the MBA Residential Board of Governors and previously served as chairman of the MBA’s Capital Markets Committee. Gaither has also served on the National Advisory Boards for the Housing Policy Council, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
